Job Summary

This role provides a caring service to our patients at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our Outpatient Department as a Patient Administrator.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide an appointment booking service, liaising with Consultants, medical secretaries, and other departments in the Trust.
  2. Assist patients with their appointments, providing a welcoming receptionist service to our patients attending the Outpatient clinics.
  3. Maintain accurate records and data input, providing an efficient telephone service.
  4. Work collaboratively as part of a busy team, responding to a range of people in a courteous and professional manner.
Requirements
  1. GCSE standard to include English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  2. NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service and Administration, or equivalent knowledge base.
  3. Experience of clerical duties in an office/administration environment, IT / computer skills, and customer service experience.
