About the Role

The BMS Lead Technician will be a key member of the Johnson Controls International project delivery team, providing site support and identifying growth opportunities for the company's business units.

This role involves semi-mobile work, predominantly on one customer site per day, with occasional requirements to work consecutive days on client sites.

The focus of this role will be on Small Project Works, which are identified through service works, offering a great opportunity for entry into project engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain building control systems
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors
  • Load and commission system and network-level controllers as required
  • Perform software program modifications using established standards as required
  • Develop skills in JCI Cloud-based technologies
  • Coach and mentor apprentices
  • Consult and train customer representatives in system operations
  • Document service activities and create service reports
  • Assist the key accounts manager with pricing and design of project opportunities

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of experience in control systems as a service engineer
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Focus on innovation and improving the service delivery model, as well as leading the implementation of improvements within the VIP customer base
  • Ability to manage and influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work alone and when necessary, within the wider service team
  • Full clean UK driving license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications/diploma within a related field
  • Working knowledge of Metasys systems in both industrial and commercial environments
