Job Title: Transport Compliance Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Compliance Supervisor to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the transport industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure adherence to DVSA regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Transport Manager to ensure compliance processes are followed and implemented correctly.
  • Plan and coordinate vehicle servicing and repair schedules with internal and external maintenance providers.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor and update internal vehicle and driver compliance systems.
  • Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams to ensure operational compliance requirements are met.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive KPI reports related to transport, driver, and MHE operational compliance.
  • Provide driver training and support to ensure compliance with working time directives.
  • Oversee compliance and health and safety issues, ensuring all standards are met.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transport operations and compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of DVSA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
