Job Title: Transport Compliance Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Compliance Supervisor to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Transport Manager to implement and maintain compliance processes.
  • Plan and coordinate vehicle servicing and repair schedules with internal and external maintenance providers.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents, and provide reports to the Transport Manager.
  • Monitor and update internal vehicle and driver compliance systems.
  • Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams to ensure operational compliance.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive KPI reports related to transport, driver, and MHE operational compliance.
  • Provide driver training reports to support training and maintenance booking requirements.
  • Liaise with the vehicle asset yearly planner to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee compliance and Health & Safety issues, ensuring all standards are met.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to queries via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Conduct driver licence checks using TruLicence.
  • Debrief drivers on infringements and ensure compliance with working time directives.
  • Complete gate checks with drivers to ensure compliance.
  • Complete driver licence checks every 6 months as per company policy.
  • Train drivers in the use of company phone apps.
  • Perform general administration duties, including filing, scanning, and data input.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transport operations and compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of DVSA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic focus and continuous improvement experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Solution-driven and flexible approach to work.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Proficient in MS packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
