About the Role
Long Term Futures Ltd is partnering with a secondary school in Shirebrook, Mansfield to appoint tutors for small group tutoring of Year 11 students in preparation for GCSEs. Tutors are needed for English and Maths, and the school seeks ambitious, self-motivated individuals who can work independently to promote academic progress across varied abilities.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced tutor to provide focused tutoring sessions in English or Maths to small groups of Year 11 students. The successful candidate will have experience in providing tuition to students of different abilities and be able to differentiate instruction to meet their diverse needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions to small groups of students in English or Maths.
- Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with subject teachers to develop effective strategies for student improvement.
- Identify knowledge gaps in students' learning and provide targeted support.
- Use a range of teaching methods to engage students with different learning styles.
Requirements
- A degree in English/Maths, or QTS is desirable.
- Proven experience in providing tutoring to small groups of students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- An in-date Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
