As a passionate and patient teacher, tutor or TA with experience in adapting and supporting learners to overcome barriers, you will play a vital role in delivering tuition sessions to help students gain confidence and achieve their qualifications. You will work nationwide with 1st Staff Limited, a leading alternative provider of education and therapeutic services for students aged 4-25 years old with special educational needs and challenging behaviour.

You will be part of a supportive network with unlimited access to lead tutors, safeguarding leads, curriculum leads and the Head of Education. This will enable you to provide high-quality tuition sessions while receiving guidance and support when needed.

Job Requirements
  • Confidence working with SEN/SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • Cater lesson plans to individual child's needs
  • Nurturing and supportive nature with good behaviour management skills
  • Rapport building with the child
  • Good communication skills
  • Identify barriers to students' learning and help them overcome
  • Be adaptable and work in various classroom roles
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
