We are seeking a skilled and experienced Learning Support Specialist to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with specific needs.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of a child with complex needs. As a Learning Support Specialist, you will work closely with the pupil, their family, and our experienced teaching team to develop personalized learning plans that cater to their individual needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support to the pupil, focusing on their cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks as required, ensuring the pupil's dignity and comfort.
  • Supporting the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our school's SEND provision, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that all pupils receive the support they need to thrive.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with cognitive delays and additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • A patient and empathetic approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality support to meet the individual needs of the pupil.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for professional development.
