Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Support Worker to join our team at Queen Mother House, a residential service providing 24-hour support for adults with ongoing and enduring mental health conditions. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being among our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to service users, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, medication management, and household chores.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that service users' needs are met.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting incidents as necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A willingness to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare within 3 years of appointment.
  • Experience of working in a busy environment, preferably in social care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • A non-judgmental and empathetic approach, with a commitment to promoting dignity and respect for all service users.
