Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Queen Mother House, a residential service providing long-term support for adults with ongoing mental health conditions.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being among our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support to service users, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication management, adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Develop and maintain social networks and relationships with service users, promoting their independence and choice.
  • Participate in the development and review of personal plans with service users, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Support service users during significant life changes or losses, providing emotional support and guidance.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a willingness to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare within 3 years of appointment.

Desirable qualifications include a Food Hygiene certificate and experience working in a busy environment.

Key skills and aptitudes include effective communication, writing short reports, and being approachable, ethical, and non-judgmental.
