A leading Higher Education Body is seeking a highly skilled IT Server Systems Manager to support the implementation of server and cloud architectures. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Systems Manager to ensure seamless management, maintenance, and support of server and cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure changes to server and cloud systems follow change management policies.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain server and cloud systems, including Windows and Linux servers, VMWare, Hyper-V, SAN/NAS storage, network switches, and cloud services (Office 365, Azure).
  • Document and implement procedures for server and cloud systems management.
  • Perform proactive monitoring and regular performance analysis.
  • Generate reports and maintain an inventory of server equipment.
  • Maintain IT facilities in good order.

Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess a Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in IT server systems. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in server system support within a multi-site IT service environment is required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, VMware, or Hyper-V is essential. Ability to travel between sites and attend external events is also necessary.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
