Job Summary:

Linsco is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional to join our team as a SHEQ Advisor - Power Sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established utility services provider with national coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and promotion of health, safety, environment, and quality programs.
  • Engage and communicate with all operational staff on HSE matters.
  • Ensure that specific safety requirements for both DNOs and National Grid are adhered to.
  • Monitor health, safety, environment, and quality performance on contracts and take necessary steps to improve standards.
  • Carry out regular and continuous site, compound, and CDM audits.
  • Support in compiling, reviewing, and revising project SHEQ documentation.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, utility damages, and introduce preventative measures to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Ensure all levels of staff under your influence have the appropriate training in health, safety, quality, and environmental matters.
  • Provide specialist advice on the company's safety policy and procedures and compliance with statutory obligations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within utilities environments, specifically within the power sector.
  • NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (NVQ Level 5 as a minimum standard).
  • EUSR or CSCS in a related subject.
  • Must hold BESC or relevant persons authorization.
  • Experience working for either DNOs or National Grid.
  • Proficient in Accident/Incident investigation & RCA.
  • Proficient in data analysis & compiling Reports.
