Advanced Educator Children's Residential Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Educator to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council. As an Advanced Educator, you will play a crucial role in developing outstanding residential leaders and practitioners in our children's homes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement ongoing training programs for residential staff, focusing on child-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
- Work closely with home management teams to establish and maintain high-quality practice standards.
- Act as a conduit for commissioning essential training and promote practice excellence within the homes.
- Ensure residential staff receive high-quality professional development that impacts directly on improving the lives of children, young people, and families.
The Gloucestershire Social Work Academy is responsible for providing a welcoming introduction to working in children's services, optimizing the many attractions of working for Gloucestershire County Council. The Academy ensures that staff receive the highest quality continuing professional development, impacting directly on improving the lives of children, young people, and families.
Requirements- Professional social work qualification or similar from a statutory background.
- Experience working at a supervisory level within the children's residential care sector.
- Ability to satisfactorily pass DBS requirements.
- Practice educator award desirable but not essential for social work qualified applicants.
