Job Title: Consultant Paediatric Radiologist (Body Imaging)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatric Radiologist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our General Radiology Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert diagnostic imaging services in paediatric radiology, including plain radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI, and CT
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in paediatric radiology, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans for patients
  • Supervise and mentor junior radiologists and trainees
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives in the department
  • Participate in research and academic activities, including publication of research papers and presentation at conferences

Person Specification

  • Essential Criteria
    • Full GMC Registration or evidence of eligibility for full GMC registration
    • MBBS or Equivalent
    • On specialist register for Radiology (CCT or equivalent), or within 3 months of award of CCT by date of interview
    • Accredited to and Fellow of The Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent
  • Desirable Criteria
    • Higher degree – PhD, MD or equivalent
    • Management qualification
    • Research/ Publications in paediatric radiology
