We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Companion to join our team at Home Instead St Albans. As a Care Companion, you will provide daily support to our clients, assisting with morning and evening routines, meal preparation, light housework, and personal care. You will also engage in friendly conversations, share stories, and provide companionship to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with morning and evening routines, helping clients get ready for the day or unwind in the evening.
- Assist with dressing and grooming, ensuring our clients look and feel their best.
- Prepare nourishing breakfasts or nutritious dinners, providing our clients with the fuel they need to stay healthy and happy.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, tidying up living spaces to create a comfortable and clutter-free environment.
- Engage in friendly conversations, sharing stories and listening to memories, and providing companionship to our clients.
- Assist with medication, ensuring our clients receive the support they need to stay healthy.
Requirements:
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
- A compassionate and caring nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits:
- Competitive rates of pay, ranging from £13.75-£14.75 per hour.
- No previous experience required.
- Mileage allowance of 45p per mile.
- Paid travel time between clients.
- An additional 50p an hour for those with NVQ level 2 in H&SC.
- Double pay on bank holidays.
- Minimum one-hour visits.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Supportive and friendly office team.
