Job Title: Skilled Production Operative

Location: Yorkshire

We are seeking a skilled production operative to join our team in the prep area. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that each product specification is followed and any anomalies are reported immediately.

Main Duties:

  • Under the guidance of the Area Manager, ensure that each product specification is followed, and any anomalies are reported immediately.
  • Ensure that any production targets set by the Area Manager are met; or if this is not possible, shortfalls are reported to the relevant person in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site.
  • Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the Production Area.
  • Report any equipment defects immediately to the Area Supervisor / Team Leader.
  • Behave in a safe and appropriate manner at all times.
  • Assist during internal / external audits as required.
  • Adhere to all Company Rules and Policies.
  • Maintain high levels of work performance including attendance, timekeeping etc.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Reliable with a can-do attitude.
  • Good standard of English.
  • Basic understanding of health & safety.
  • Experience of working in food production, an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Basic numeric & literacy skills.
