Role Purpose:

The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in analyzing and reporting financial results to facilitate informed decision-making regarding business unit performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain precise product standard costings.
  • Deliver production analytics to assess and report on site performance.
  • Assist in the migration of systems to Oracle as needed.
  • Support customer contract negotiations by providing insights into customer and product profitability.
  • Prepare cost, revenue, and balance sheet analyses for the site controller.
  • Oversee periodic cycle counts and annual stocktakes.
  • Update Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) data and reports, including actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and strategic planning processes, as well as the annual budget.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory accounting requirements.
  • Support both external and internal audits.
  • Provide coverage for other finance team members as necessary.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • CIMA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • A comprehensive understanding of ERP solutions.
  • A structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications (macro level).
  • Strong analytical abilities and self-motivation.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • A willingness to learn new methods and tasks.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other European languages is advantageous.
