Bridge Maintenance Supervisor – South Queensferry

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BEAR Scotland’s Maintenance team, responsible for the upkeep of Scotland’s most iconic structures, including the Queensferry Crossing.
Based in our Queensferry depot, the Maintenance Supervisor will supervise a multi-trade team, delivering cyclic maintenance programmes and associated tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-trade team on maintenance activities on major bridges.
- Supervise technicians and ensure their work is of the highest standard.
- Manage team health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Work to cyclic maintenance programmes, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Produce job/project estimates, ensuring accurate costs are allocated.
- Carry out inspections of completed works, identifying areas for improvement.
- Produce and review health and safety documentation, ensuring compliance.
- Lead a rescue team, responding to emergencies.
- Flexibility to lead nightshift works as required.
Requirements:
- HNC in an engineering discipline.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Competency in Word and Excel, with excellent organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness, with experience of managing budgets.
- Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.
- Full UK driving licence.
