**Job Title:** Community Support Worker

**Location:** Caerphilly County Borough Council

**Salary:** £26,213.11 - £28,435.14 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Community Support Worker. In this role, you will work with individuals with learning disabilities who have Autism and challenging behaviors.

**Job Description:

The main purpose of the role is to support the physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs of individuals with learning disabilities. You will need to have a person-centered approach to promote choice and independence while making peoples' days enjoyable and meaningful.

This role requires the successful applicant to be able and confident to undertake Positive Behaviour Management training that requires physical interventions.

You will be required to work on a rota basis as and when required, including weekends and early evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with learning disabilities to achieve their personal outcomes
  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement individual management plans and risk assessments
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Care or commitment to attain within 1 year of appointment
  • An understanding of disability issues such as empowerment, choice, and advocacy
  • Able to contribute to the development and implementation of individual management plans and risk assessments
  • A full UK Category B driving license
