About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at our Warnham site in West Sussex. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across the site
  • Identify and suggest improvements to manufacturing and quality processes
  • Assist with the installation of new plant equipment
  • Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
  • Carry out factory inspections and provide advice and support to production operatives and other personnel
  • Monitor quality from raw material to finished goods
  • Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained
  • Provide emergency maintenance cover when required
  • Carry out investigations and create reports for management
Requirements
  • Experience in a heavy industry manufacturing environment
  • Natural leadership skills with the ability to support, coach, and motivate others
  • Passion for continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, and health & safety standards
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in a multiskilled Engineering discipline
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of EHS
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities
  • Analytical, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills
  • Maintenance and diagnostics experience of hydraulic, pneumatic, drive chain, and electrical control systems
  • Knowledge of cutting, grinding, and welding regulations
