Commercial Contract Specialist

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Contract Specialist to join our team at Mcxtend. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring the successful execution of our commercial strategies.
Main Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for the company and its subsidiaries in multiple jurisdictions, including instructing overseas advisors where necessary.
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, maintain, and manage the company's standard commercial contracts portfolio, providing input to and negotiating acceptable terms in non-standard commercial contracts, including identifying and mitigating risk.
- Bid Support: Support the Bid Team with writing tender responses, particularly commercial elements, and work with the Senior Bid Engineering Manager to define and recommend winning bid strategies, ensuring that all tender requirements are properly addressed, including the coordination of all technical, commercial, and financial elements.
- Performance Bond and Guarantee Management: Support Finance to ensure the suitability of requisite performance bonds, bank guarantees, and parent company guarantees.
- Security Clearance: The role will require a valid passport and security clearance, which entails background checks.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Law degree (desirable)
- Professional Experience: Extensive experience working as a Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager, experience running or working in/with a bid/commercial team, and experience managing external legal advisers.
- Desirable Skills: Experience of working with both Government and commercial customers globally, familiarity with DEFCONs, Cabinet Office template contracts, FARs, DFARS, and standard industry template contracts, and experience in concluding contracts that apply different legal systems and jurisdictions.
