Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at UK Power Networks. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our electrical infrastructure construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality management advice to promote compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 in the review, audit, certification, induction, and management of procedures and processes.
  • Contribute to the review of existing and development of new procedures/processes, including those from central UK Power Networks group and project/contract specific procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with ISO 9001: 2015, procedures, legal and moral obligations, and national, international, and client standards.
  • Plan project audits against agreed level 2, 3, and 4 schedules, undertake quality management system audits, produce audit reports, and ensure findings are resolved promptly.
  • Assist and offer guidance to Project Managers in reviewing quality-related project documents and requirements, develop quality management system inductions, training, and communication materials, and gather lessons learned.
  • Provide a monitoring function to ensure that suppliers, subcontractors, and services they provide exceed our quality management system expectations.
  • Monitor site certification of materials and equipment, including tool calibration, to ensure compliance with client and project requirements.

Requirements:

  • HNC (minimum requirement) qualification in a discipline such as Quality Management, Construction, Project Management, or Technical/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute with an aspiration to gain Chartered status.
  • Quality management system experience gained in the construction industry.
  • Trained QMS Auditor/Internal QMS Auditor with experience in auditing to ISO 9001: 2015.
  • Experience of root cause analysis.
  • Client access passes and licenses required to work within UK industries such as airports, defence, nuclear, rail, and underground rail.
  • Valid UK driving license.
