Job Title: Deputy Engineering Manager

Join East Kent Colleges Group as a Deputy Engineering Manager and take on a challenging role that combines teaching, leadership, and innovation. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualifications, planning a relevant and distinctive curriculum, and implementing the launch of new T levels in Engineering.

About the Role
  • Work alongside the Head of Engineering to develop and implement departmental strategies.
  • Oversee the delivery of Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualifications, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Plan and develop a curriculum that meets local and regional skills requirements, incorporating the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Implement the launch of new T levels in Engineering, working closely with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Contribute to the development of the engineering department, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in teaching, leadership, and curriculum development. You will need to have a degree in a relevant field, a teaching qualification, and experience in assessing and tracking student progress. You will also need to be able to lead a team, be organized, creative, and innovative.
