About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Engineering Manager to join our team at Ashford College. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and contributing to the success of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of engineering qualifications, ensuring they meet local and regional skills requirements.
  • Plan and deliver a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Work closely with the Head of Engineering to launch new T levels in Engineering and establish our college as a centre of excellence for green engineering.
  • Lead a team of engineering professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our students.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to develop innovative programs and courses that meet the needs of local employers.

Ideally, you will have a background in industry, with experience in machining workshops, engineering, or construction. You will also have a strong track record of academic leadership, guidance, and curriculum management.
