Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and empathetic Occupational Therapist to join our highly skilled Therapy team at Hollanden Park Hospital in Hildenborough, Kent. The successful candidate will have a role in supporting our future investment in our services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, management strategies, clinical goals, and evidence-based therapy plans to address patients' goals and needs.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies and adaptive techniques to enhance independence.
- Manage a caseload independently with supervision from the Lead OT.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including liaising with community teams and equipment providers, and to contribute to the discharge planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the RCOT and HCPC with evidence of CPD and continued learning.
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant setting with experience in neurology, specialist rehab, and/or complex care.
- Experience in delivering evidence-based practice, following best practice guidelines, using assessment tools, and providing outcome measures.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards of professional practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary and/or Interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience of training, supporting, and/or mentoring others.
