Patient Safety Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join our team as a Patient Safety Administrator. The role is contracted for hours a week, covering office hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with flexibility in start and finish times and days worked.
The team is responsible for overseeing quality and governance for the Trust. You will support work for Patient Safety and Clinical Effectiveness teams. Excellent IT and administration skills are required to input and extract data from Trust-wide systems and local databases. A creative approach to presenting information is also beneficial, as a vital part of our role as a Quality & Safety Team is ensuring that learning from incidents and good practice can be shared across all teams.
The post holder will predominantly work from home, although the team works from Kings Court 2 one day a week, and there will be occasions when the post holder will be required to work from multiple Trust sites.
Main Duties of the Job
As a key part of our team, you will be responsible for the administration of our Quality and Governance processes. Tracking, monitoring, and liaising with key people to ensure that processes run smoothly and deadlines are met. In order to do this, you will need to be an excellent communicator and networker, getting to know the clinical teams across the Trust to support them to input and be part of quality and governance systems and processes.
Our work includes managing investigations into serious incidents, reviewing incidents, and requesting further reports if needed, championing quality improvements and supporting teams to make positive changes, monitoring and tracking processes such as audits and reviews.
