Role Overview:
The Supply Register is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team at Northway School in Barnet. This role involves day-to-day, short-term, and long-term positions, providing support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure pupils engage in lessons and complete their work as necessary
- Provide support to pupils inside and outside the classroom
- Assist the class teacher in managing pupils' behavior
- Help the class teacher with setting up activities and displays when needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in education or childcare is essential
- Previous experience working with individuals with Special needs is essential
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one
- Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 references covering the last 2 years of employment
