Key Responsibilities:

As our ideal candidate, you will lead on all aspects of SEN provision within the school, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice. You will identify and assess the needs of students with special educational needs, developing tailored Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) alongside Individual Educational Plans (IEP).

Main Areas of Responsibility:
• Lead on all aspects of SEN provision within the school
• Identify and assess the needs of students with special educational needs
• Develop tailored EHCP and IEP
• Work closely with teachers to provide support strategies and resources
• Liaise with external agencies, parents, and caregivers to secure additional support and resources
• Provide guidance and training to staff on effective teaching methods for students with diverse needs
• Monitor and evaluate the progress and attainment of SEN students

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and additional SENCo qualification or willingness to undertake training
• Experience in supporting children with a range of SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current best practices in SEN support
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and external professionals
• Commitment to inclusive education and a passion for helping every child succeed
