About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Account Manager to join our team at Sterling Cross. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and developing existing client relationships and maximising business potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with existing customers to develop business relationships and promote client confidence.
  • Managing requests for quotes effectively and working with internal teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
  • Working with external suppliers to ensure successful client outcomes and building internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • General administration and ensuring queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Either sales, customer service or operations experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • High level of numeracy to provide accurate quotes to customers and KPI reports.
  • Experience of negotiating with clients and/or suppliers.
  • Key account management experience with proven success in developing relationships.
  • Experience of face-to-face client and supplier meetings.
  • Good administrative skills and good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
