Job Description:
As a Wet Processes Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, control, and maintenance of all wet processes/chemistry within our chemical laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment with a well-established, award-winning facility.

Responsibilities:
This position involves working as part of a small Chemistry team on the late shift, working a 4-day week but earning a full-time salary. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Senior Process Chemist in maintaining machinery and equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule, ensuring that water and chemical waste treatment controls are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements, and utilizing documentation control systems – paper and electronic.

  • Control and troubleshoot all wet processes (Chemistry)
  • Involved in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes
  • Maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule
  • Ensure that water and chemical waste treatment controls are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Use of documentation control systems – paper and electronic

Requirements:
We are looking for candidates with preferably 2+ years of experience in a Chemist's role, a degree in Chemical Engineering or another Chemistry-based qualification, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will also possess logical thinking and a good application of the scientific method, good understanding of technical documentation, and the ability to maintain a high level of detail.

What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of £27,552 per annum, rising to £29,232 after 6 months subject to meeting performance criteria. Additional benefits include quarterly company bonuses up to 12% of your salary, contributory pension, death in service insurance, and various shift options with daily shift premiums.
