About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician (Industrial) to join our team. As an Industrial Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the analyses, control, and maintenance of all wet processes/chemistry within our chemical laboratory. This is a great opportunity to work in a busy, hands-on laboratory and factory setting with a well-established, award-winning facility.

The Key Responsibilities:
This position involves working as part of a small Chemistry team on the late shift, working a 4-day week but earning a full-time salary. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Senior Process Chemist in controlling and troubleshooting all wet processes (Chemistry), involved in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes, and utilizing documentation control systems – paper and electronic.

  • Assist in the maintenance of machinery and equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule
  • Ensure that water and chemical waste treatment controls are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Work unsupervised in a Night Shift role

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for candidates with preferably 2+ years of experience in a Chemist's role, a degree in Chemical Engineering or another Chemistry-based qualification, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will also possess logical thinking and a good application of the scientific method, good understanding of technical documentation, and the ability to maintain a high level of detail.

What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of £27,552 per annum, rising to £29,232 after 6 months subject to meeting performance criteria. Additional benefits include quarterly company bonuses up to 12% of your salary, contributory pension, death in service insurance, and various shift options with daily shift premiums.
