Job Description

Monarch Education is working closely with a Primary School in Dudley to recruit a full-time KS1 Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will support children in KS1 to access the curriculum and bridge attainment gaps. The role involves working with a supportive team and opportunities for development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Classroom Teachers
  • Monitoring and evaluation of pupil's progress
  • Assisting in the assessment of pupils
  • Understanding the national curriculum
  • Good behaviour management
  • Experience of supporting children in KS1
  • Effective communication and teamwork

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in mainstream or SEND settings
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good understanding of the emotional and social needs of children
