Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker - Residential Primary School

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join a Residential Primary School in Chigwell, rated Outstanding by Ofsted. This is a permanent position starting ASAP.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and empathetic individual to support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the school's team to provide quality care and support to students aged 5-11 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality care and support to children in a residential setting
  • Assist in developing and implementing care plans to meet each child's physical, therapeutic, emotional, and social needs
  • Carry out daily activities such as meals, recreational activities, and educational programs
  • Ensure the health and well-being of children, including administering medication as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behavior, and any incidents that occur
  • Work with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a comprehensive approach to their well-being
Working Hours:

The successful candidate will work a varied schedule, including:

  • Monday: 14:00-20:30
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 07:00-09:30, 14:30-20:30
  • Thursday: 07:00-10:00, 12:00-20:30
  • Friday: 07:00-15:00
Requirements:

We are open to applicants from alternative backgrounds who have transferable skills. The successful candidate must have a full UK license and access to their own vehicle.
