Role Overview

The University of Cambridge seeks a highly skilled Strategic Communications and Events Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Centre for Science and Policy, you will play a vital role in enhancing policy making through evidence-based communications.

This is a permanent position with an estimated annual salary of £45,000-£55,000 based on location and experience.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing effective communications strategies, creating engaging content, and promoting high-profile events. You will work closely with the CSaP Head of Programmes to drive engagement and raise the university's profile.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in events management and communications management
  • Excellent journalistic writing skills and ability to communicate complex information effectively
  • Strong organisational abilities and sound judgement
  • Familiarity with using multimedia tools to convey messages would be an asset

About the Role

You will be part of a small team delivering CSaP's annual public events and will have the opportunity to develop your skills in strategic communications and event management. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
