Academics Ltd is seeking a recent Psychology or Criminology graduate to join their support team at a Specialist School located just outside of Chippenham. This role is ideal for a graduate hoping to become a trained Psychologist in the future, with a genuine interest in supporting children with psychological needs.

Job Details
  • Position: Mental Health Support Worker
  • Salary Range: £80-£90 per day

The daily duties will involve collaborating with the class teacher and other experienced staff members to educate pupils who cope with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The successful candidate will help manage challenging behaviors, work on a one-to-one basis to ensure pupils are on task, and identify potential triggers for pupils regarding their trauma and mental health needs.

This opportunity allows a Psychology Graduate to build experience working with children who need psychological support. The ideal candidate will facilitate various therapeutic techniques, employ restorative practices aimed at promoting mental well-being, and work alongside Psychologists and Therapists based at the school.

To be successful in this role, you should be proactive and friendly, with a passion for mental health. Previous experience working with children and/or adults with additional needs would be beneficial.
