Specialist Support Teacher for SEND Provision

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Teacher to work with students who require additional support due to profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical conditions.
About the SEN Teacher Role:This position requires a teacher who can adapt to the unique needs of each student, developing creative strategies to engage and support them in achieving their academic and personal goals.
Main Responsibilities:- Developing and Delivering Lessons: Create and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Sensory and Medical Support: Provide support to students with sensory impairments and medical conditions, ensuring their comfort and well-being in the classroom.
- Classroom Behaviour and Safety: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment.
- Collaboration with Support Staff: Work closely with support staff, specialists, and parents to ensure a comprehensive approach to meeting student needs.
- Student Progress and Development: Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods to promote continued growth and development.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children who have severe or profound learning difficulties (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, and other communication systems (training available)
- A patient, compassionate, and positive teaching approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Salary: £34,513 - £51,242 per annum
