About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Knitwear Designer to join our team at ME+EM Ltd. As a Senior Knitwear Designer, you will be responsible for designing original, beautiful, high-quality knitwear products that deliver the brand's DNA and capture emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop knitwear products that meet the brand's quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Work closely with the Head of Knit and Jersey to build stories, produce mood boards, and colour palettes for each collection.
  • Manage the presentation of styles in the run-up to Sketch & Swatch meetings and Proto meetings.
  • Produce detailed tech packs and liaise with suppliers and factories confidently.
  • Anticipate and meet customer needs through customer and sales feedback and use this to influence designs.
  • Manage the actions from Sketch & Swatch, Proto, and Intake meetings in a timely fashion.
  • Proactively present lab dips, colour options, and inspiration in Proto meetings to support decision-making.
  • Able to lead in fit sessions and work with the Garment Tech & Buyer to ensure all styles are reviewed in accordance with the brand DNA, cost, and quality.
  • Aware of company and competitor product and retail prices and able to work on design developments to achieve price targets.
  • Understand and achieve company-wide and individual style critical paths.

About You:

  • Commercial and aspirational knitwear design experience.
  • Highly creative, trend-driven with a high-end taste level and a true connection to knitwear design.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced fashion environment.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of garment construction.
  • Able to work on their own, take initiative, and work as part of a team.
