About the Role
The Special Events Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering a first-class events program for the CHM Stop MS Appeal. This will involve working closely with the Special Events Manager to ensure a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee event management, including coordinating with external suppliers and collaborating with senior volunteers.
- Work cross-departmentally to scope, plan, and execute the events program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including supporters, volunteers, and external partners.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of events, making recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of the CHM events strategy, aligning with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event management, preferably in a charity or non-profit setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of fundraising and events best practices, with a commitment to delivering high-quality events that meet the needs of supporters.
