Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Lead - Addiction Specialist to join our team at Ailsa Hospital. As a key member of our Community Addiction Advanced Nurse Practitioner team, you will work closely with our Senior Management Team and prescribers to develop and implement effective service delivery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the development of service delivery and increase availability and access to Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) medication.
  2. Meet the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Standard recommendations.
  3. Ensure a high standard of clinical care for individuals with substance misuse, in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and health and safety legislation.
  4. Supervise and educate the wider health and social care team and external partners.

Requirements:

  • A First Level Registered Nurse with evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Working towards or having undertaken master's level modules in advanced practice, clinical assessment, and non-medical prescribing.
  • Superior communication skills (oral and written) and proven skills in delegation, decision making, problem solving, and planning and prioritizing client care.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership: A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is essential for this role.
