About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished User Experience Designer to join our newly established user insight and experience design team at Imperial College Healthcare.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our user experience strategy, focusing on shaping user involvement, user research, and co-design approaches to support healthcare service design and improve experiences for various groups, including patients, staff, and healthcare partners.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement user experience strategy to support healthcare service design and improve experiences for various groups
  • Lead the development and delivery of user research and co-design strategies to support the Trust's services and functions
  • Provide guidance, advice, and support across the organisation to ensure that all co-design and user research activities are delivered using best practice approaches
  • Design and deliver user research, co-design, and user-led improvements for priority projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to lead and manage effective, integrated user focus, user research, and co-design projects
  • Experience in presenting complex data and non-complex information verbally to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experience of line management
  • Experience in supporting and implementing user insight strategies (including organisational culture change)
  • NHS or private health experience
  • Account management experience - in-house or agency
  • Experience of behaviour change tools and techniques
