Job Description:

As a Special Education Needs Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and behaviour challenges. You will work closely with teachers to develop strategies to manage student behaviour and promote positive relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support students with challenging behaviour in a classroom setting.
  • Assist students in developing coping mechanisms and techniques to manage their emotions and reduce stress.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to each student's unique needs.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in special education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Passion for supporting young people's special educational needs.

Salary: £80-£90 per day (approximately £18,240 - £20,700 per annum).
