About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to join our team in Fleetwood. As a Waking Night Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sleep-in support: Provide one-to-one support to individuals with autism during waking night shifts, promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Personal care: Assist with personal care tasks, such as toileting, bathing, and dressing, while respecting the individual's autonomy and dignity.
  • Health and wellbeing: Monitor and maintain accurate records of each individual's health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Community engagement: Encourage and facilitate participation in community activities, fostering social connections and friendships.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A minimum of a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Experience: At least 6 months' experience working with individuals with autism or other learning disabilities
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and understanding of autism spectrum conditions
