Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years SEN Support Specialist to provide one-to-one support for a child in their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with suspected Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the early learning journey of a child.

About the Role
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with suspected ASC, helping them access learning and build confidence in the classroom.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to develop the child's communication, social skills, and sensory regulation.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt activities and create a positive learning environment.
  • Foster the child's independence and emotional well-being, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or similar needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy.
  • A strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (Level 2 or above preferred).
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
