We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child with physical disabilities. This rewarding role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in a child's learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to a child with physical disabilities, ensuring their full participation in lessons and school activities
  • Assist with physical needs, including personal care, mobility, and the use of specialised equipment
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor and report on the child's progress, adapting support strategies as necessary
  • Encourage independence and confidence in the child's daily school life
  • Assist with academic tasks and activities, adapting materials where necessary to ensure accessibility
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Will have experience working with children who have physical disabilities (experience in an SEN setting is desirable)
  • Be patient, caring, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Be proactive in supporting the child's development, both academically and socially
  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies
  • Hold a valid DBS check on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
