Project Overview
The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to work on a collaborative project jointly supervised by Prof Ravi Gupta and Dr. Daniele Corridoni at AstraZeneca. The project aims to investigate the role of macrophages in cancer and inflammatory diseases, with a focus on understanding the biology behind heterogeneity in macrophage phenotypes.
Research Objectives
- To investigate the impact of cell cycle transitions on macrophage biology
- To understand the link between cell cycle regulation, tumourigenesis, and inflammation
- To deploy a range of techniques to address the research objectives
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field. They will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
What We Offer
The University of Cambridge offers a competitive stipend and a comprehensive training program. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative research environment.
How to Apply
Applications should be submitted through the University of Cambridge's online application system. The application should include a CV, a cover letter, and contact information for two academic referees.
