Salary: £28,770 per annum (pro-rata to £22,130) or approximately £14.95 per hour.

This part-time role offers the opportunity to work 37 hours a week (40 weeks a year) with all Northamptonshire school holidays off.

The benefits of this position include 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays pro-rata, on-site car parking, statutory pension, and employee assistance program.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Process sales and purchase ledgers, including processing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and goods received notes.
  2. Support with monthly journals, recharges, and payroll journals.
  3. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and process monthly grant remittances.
  4. Raise offer letters to new starters and issue contract changes as needed.
  5. Maintain the fixed asset and utilities register.
  6. Assist with inventory audit management.
  7. Provide administrative and HR support as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance or administration role.
  • Knowledge of the education system is desirable.
  • Studying AAT is desirable.
  • Experience working with accountancy software (PSF Financials) and good Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) are desirable.
  • Pleasantly autonomous with a strong eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment and support other areas when needed.
  • A growth mindset - someone who wants to be involved in the company's growth and their own career development.
