Job Title: Direct Tax Manager

Your new company is a leading construction firm and a FTSE 100 business, seeking an Interim Direct Tax Manager to join their Group Tax Team in Manchester City Centre.

Job Summary:

As a Direct Tax Manager, you will lead the Group Tax Team and be responsible for driving corporate, DPDT, and income tax compliance processes. You will also report tax figures to be included in the half and full year financial statements, and provide successful business partnering and training to ensure ongoing tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the corporate, DPDT, and income tax compliance processes.
  • Report tax figures to be included in the half and full year financial statements.
  • Provide successful business partnering and training to ensure ongoing tax compliance.
  • Be involved with indirect and employment tax issues.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years' experience in tax management, gained either from practice or in-house.
  • Excellent UK corporate tax technical knowledge.
  • Strong Excel skills and keen interest in technology.
  • Enthusiasm for bringing new ideas and process improvements.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), or relevant Tax qualification (ATT, CTA).
