About the Role

The Sewer Network Investigation Technician will be part of our Waste Water Sewer Networks Operations team, primarily carrying out CCTV surveys to identify causes of blockages, misconnections, pollutions, and other defects. This role involves operating, maintaining, and upkeeping plant, equipment, and vehicles, as well as working with existing Waste Water Services employees on sewerage operational maintenance and waste water transfer and treatment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct extensive investigations on the sewerage network
  • Operate CCTV camera and crawler unit
  • Collaborate with other SWW employees and contractors
  • Produce accurate and high-quality reports
  • Ensure the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of plant, equipment, and vehicles
  • Fulfill other roles in the operational team as required
  • Participate in out-of-hours standby and working patterns
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required
Requirements
  • 1+ years of CCTV engineering experience
  • Full UK clean Driving Licence (essential)
  • Minor grounds work experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of using Minicam equipment (desirable) Training provided
  • Knowledge of Wincan software (desirable) Training provided
  • High-pressure water jetting certificate (desirable) Training provided
  • Confined Space Entry - or CP2 (desirable) Training provided
  • High standard of communication skills, both written and oral
  • High attention to detail
  • Time management and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Provide a first-class service
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required
