Company Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Primary Education Support Worker to join our team at CV-Library. As a Primary Education Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.

Job Summary:

This role involves working one-on-one with students from Reception to Year 6, providing educational and personal support. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure that every student receives the best possible education.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEND with educational adaptations on a 1:1 basis and care plans.
  • Provide behaviour support to SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis in line with individual behaviour plans, behaviour policies, STEPS/attachment training, and any other learning-specific training given.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to enhance the educational experience.
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to child protection and safeguarding.
  • Assist pupils with eating, dressing, and hygiene, as required, whilst encouraging independence.
  • Contribute to evidence for ISPs, EHCP, and referrals.
  • Support all pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with or caring for children from 3 – 11 years.
  • Any Teaching Assistant training or SEN training desirable.
  • Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults.
