Special Needs Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Special Needs Assistant to join our dedicated team in Hertford. The ideal candidate will support students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), fostering their development and helping them reach their full potential within a nurturing environment.
Sector: Education & Training
In this role, you will provide one-to-one and small group support to students with PMLD. You will assist in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals. Additionally, you will foster a supportive learning environment for all pupils and work closely with the SEN team to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with PMLD in an educational setting.
- Understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding policies.
