Job Overview

This is a temporary teaching assistant role with potential for permanence, offering the opportunity to work with students who require additional support in a Swansea-based educational setting.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with additional learning needs in a classroom setting.
  • Assisting teachers in creating and implementing individualized education plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborating with educators and parents to ensure effective communication and student support.
  • Recording and monitoring student progress to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and development.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Welsh language proficiency preferred but not essential.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.
Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is £83 per hour.
